826 National in partnership with Greater Good StudioContent Strategy

Working with Chicago-based Greater Good Studio (greatergoodstudio.com), I helped to define the content strategy for 826 National’s forthcoming website serving teachers and instructors. Through the design and facilitation of a two-day workshop, I focused and accelerated the project team at a crucial interim phase by using a series of collaborative exercises to define the audience-specific structure and substance of the 826 Digital site. Activities aligned the client and team members—including a UX specialist, innovation strategist, and writer—around a set of strategic frameworks, in addition to focusing and refining in-progress design concepts. Included in the strategy were experience principles, site archetype and architecture, and a voice and messaging framework to help the site differentiate from the organization’s city-centric tutoring studios and resonate with a broad national audience of educators. The outcome of the workshop was a content strategy guideline that doubled as a client presentation and an evergreen tool for site owners and operators.
